WELCOME TO SHIPWRECKED WIKI!

Latest as of April 17th, 2014

A new quest popped up in the game yesterday and has been added to the wiki:

Sw alabaster adjuster building last.png Looking Forward To It is a Standard Quest for the Alabaster storyline that seems to help finish up the recent quest, The Space Between Them. This is a very short quest and no Swords are needed. The Adjuster you see here is actually bought from the Shipwrecked Shop; no need to build it.

Two new quests have been added to the wiki:

Le121 water elephant ea last.png Water for Elephant Cannons, a new Limited Edition Quest about Sebastian and the Asian New Year as he helps construct the Water Festival Cannon. You will need 14 Swords and 12 Hours of time to complete, and will need to plant Green Gooseberries in order to begin. The quest ends with a task in which you are expected to purchase a new premium House item, the Bangkok Estate. Keep in mind you do NOT have to purchase this; you can instead skip this task by spending 2 Gold Bars, or you can wait for the quest to expire at the end of the day on April 22nd, CST. This quest is available on Apple as well.
Sw atlantis labyrinth ea last.png The Lost Labyrinth, a Standard Quest as part of the Atlantis series in which Tad salvages a lost Atlantis Labyrinth. You will need 14 Swords and 26 Hours of time to complete, and will need to complete the quest This is Not An Exit before starting this quest.

Two new quests have been added to the wiki:

Sw crystal lift ea last 120px.gif Is This Really Happening is a new Standard Quest in the Crystal storyline in which you help Bern build the Crystal Lift. You will need 14 Swords and 34 Hours of time to complete, and this quest is dependent on completion of The Circle In Which We Live. This quest does not appear to be available on the Apple platform yet.

The Space Between Them is a new Standard Quest in the Alabaster series in which you don't have to build anything! Instead you help Esmeralda and Ben learn more about this mysterious Alabaster by studying it twice at the Archeology Lab, and clearing three spaces in the Jungle for a rumored wrecked ship called the Adjuster... all very strange. Please know you will NOT find anything in the Jungle when the quest tells you to search; it merely wants you to clear an area. Also, Swords being used for any other quest will be credited to the Sword task in this quest, which is a nice perk.

No word yet on the next Team Challenge, but I admit I am still recovering from the first one! I haven't completely replenished all the Spirit I burned up on the Tangerine Trees, so maybe Kiwi is letting us enjoy our bonuses before unleashing their next Challenge!

Well the very first Shipwrecked Team Challenge - Tangy Time! - completed and I'd call it a success! Sure, there were a few problems for Kiwi to fix before the next Team Challenge, but I've already gotten reassurance from Kiwi they are working on them.

For those who participated, enjoy your Spirit bonuses for the next week AND those great Silver-producing Tangerine Trees! The Tangerine Trees are no longer available in the Shipwrecked Shop so take advantage of them if you got 'em :)

If you have some feedback, comments, or complaints about the Tangy Time! Team Challenge, we'd love to hear it in our discussion on the wiki forum here: http://shipwreckedwiki.com/forums/showthread.php?350. Kiwi is actively reading the discussion and would appreciate your opinions and suggestions.

If you are looking to freshen up your Neighbor roster, feel free to add your KiwiID to the list here: http://shipwreckedwiki.com/forums/showthread.php?295 If you participate in any other Kiwi games, don't forget to mention them there too!

And the Apple players have not been forgotten! Kiwi is working to add Team Challenges to the Apple iOS as soon as they can, but no release date has been offered yet.

Android Download.jpg Android players, there is an update to the Shipwrecked game, version 2.5.3. No obvious changes or additions so play should be as usual

A new quest has been added to the wiki:

Le120 buddha ea last.png What You Think You Become, a new Limited Edition Quest in which the island crew builds a golden Buddha statue. You will need 11 Swords and 10 Hours of time to complete, and will need to plant Green Gooseberries in order to begin. The quest ends with a task in which you are expected to purchase a new premium decor item, the White Lotus. Keep in mind you do NOT have to purchase this; you can instead skip this task by spending 2 Gold Bars, or you can wait for the quest to expire at the end of the day on April 15th, CST. This quest is available on Apple as well.

I should also admit that I have been posting the incorrect start and finish times for the Team Challenge, as well as the finish times for the Limited Edition Quests. Instead of EST, it should be CST (I forgot about Daylight Savings Time) so hopefully it is correct from now on. Fortunately, the game itself has been tracking this properly all along.

Two new quests are available in Shipwrecked:

Working Like a Squid, another very short Limited Edition Quest... you don't do much at all except plant Green Gooseberries, and then buy some premium décor, the new Sweet Pea Flower. No Swords required, nothing to build, nothing to clean up. This quest is available on Apple as well, and will be expiring at the end of the day on April 8th, EST.
Sw atlantis stairwayarcadia ea last.png This is Not An Exit, a Standard Quest as part of the Atlantis series in which Bern and Dorothy find their Led Zeppelin groove and build the Staircase to Arcadia. Hmmm, I wonder which one is Robert Plant and which one is Jimmy Page? Maybe all of this is in honor of the Tangerine Tree being released in a few hours. Anyway, you will need 14 Swords and 40 Hours of time to complete, and will need to complete the quest Designed by History before starting this one.

And don't forget! The very first Shipwrecked Team Challenge begins soon! If you don't have a team yet, choose the Random Team option... that's what I did. But the Challenge begins after my bed time over here so I hope my team mates won't think I'm slackin' on my end! Good luck everyone!

How nice to wake up this morning and find a new feature and a new quest in Shipwrecked! On my side of the world I usually see these changes come through in the afternoon, so this is a nice surprise!

Challenge banner red.gif

Kiwi has added something new to Shipwrecked: Team Challenges! They start in about 1.5 days so we still have time to build our teams and learn what we can about it. I'm still learning, too, so hopefully we can all help each other! This is what the game says about Team Challenges:

Grab 3 of your favorite neighbors each week, form a team, and beat the challenge!

Add team members at the Visit Neighbors screen by tapping the Team invite icon.png icon

Rewards give you awesome boosts that last for 7 days after you earn them!

This first Challenge is called Tangy Time!, and involves harvesting the soon-to-be released tree, the Tangerine Tree, as many times as possible within the set time limit. Looks like the Challenge will start on April 4th, 11:00 AM EST, and end April 7th, 11:00 AM EST.

When you go to your Visit Neighbors screen and their little icon to invite them is faded, then chances are they are on the Apple platform. I can only assume that Kiwi is planning on adding the Apple platform soon, and would not employ a new feature that would exclude them. I imagine the Apple players will be added shortly.

And if all of this excitement weren't enough, a new quest has been added:

Sw crystal spiral ea last.png The Circle In Which We Live, a Standard Quest as part of the expanding Crystal Building series in which Ben builds the the Crystal Spire. You will need 10 Swords and 22 Hours of time to complete, and will need to complete the quest A Forgotten Word before starting this one.

Latest as of April 1st, 2014

A new Limited Edition Quest has been added to the wiki:

Le118 trojan horse ea last.png Island Gifts and Tricks, a new Limited Edition Quest in honor of April Fools Day has been added to the game. Here you help Ben and Violet reconstruct the Trojan Horse Prank. You will need 13 Swords and 12 Hours of time to complete, and will need to plant Red Gooseberries in order to begin. There is a task within the quest in which you are expected to purchase a premium building, the Glorious Bucharest Inn. Keep in mind you do NOT have to purchase this; you can instead skip this task by spending 2 Gold Bars, or you can wait for the quest to expire at the end of the day on April 29th, EST. This quest is available on Apple as well.

Considering this Limited Edition Quest is available for another 28 days and requires Red Gooseberries to be planted in order to begin the quest, does this mean Kiwi will not use Red Gooseberries for any other Limited Edition Quest during that time? What happens if two quests are active at the same time that require the same Red Gooseberries? If you want to activate one of the LE quests but not the other, will you end up activating both of them? Hopefully Kiwi has already thought all of this through for us.

Looks like a new feature is in the works in the game:

Titles ss.jpg

A sharp-eyed reader in our forum spotted this in their Android game and brought it to my attention. We aren't sure what it does yet, but looks interesting! I had to update my game to version 2.5.2 in order to see this. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know! Hasn't been spotted in the Apple version yet, but chances are it will be soon.

Some new additions to the wiki to report:

Spring Cleaning, another very short Limited Edition Quest in which you again help the crew clean up some island Debris and then buy a premium house, the Borris House (the same house built at the end of They Are Usually After Them). Keep in mind you do NOT have to purchase this; you can instead skip this task by spending 2 Gold Bars or wait for the LE quest to expire. You will need to plant Green Gooseberries in order to begin this short quest, and no Swords are required! This quest is available on Apple as well, and will be expiring at the end of the day on April 1st, EST.
Sw atlantis presidio ea last.png Designed by History, a Standard Quest as part of the Atlantis series in which Ben and the Corporal rebuild the Atlantis Presidio. You will need 11 Swords and 18 Hours of time to complete, and will need to complete the quest Hear It, Believe It before starting this one.

Now that I am home and have all my computer tools and wiki toys in front of me, I've updated the wiki with Lust for Luck.

I also want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to Kiwi for allowing us to choose whether or not we want to do the Limited Edition Quests! Thank you for adding the Gooseberry crops to the game and using them just for the LEs. Much appreciated!

A new Limited Edition Quest has been added to the game (but not yet to the wiki):

Le116 stpatrick bell ea last.png Lust for Luck, another Limited Edition Quest in the St. Patrick's Day theme, this time a very short one in which you help build the Saint's Bellshrine. You will need 5 Swords and 2 Hours of time to complete, and will need to plant Red Gooseberries to start the quest. This quest will be available until April 1st.

Unfortunatley, I cannot add this walkthrough to the wiki yet until I return from travelling. I should get it updated along with any new quests added on Friday of this week.

Some new additions to the wiki to report:

Le114 stpatrick cathedral ea last.png Shamrock the Casbah, another Limited Edition Quest with a Saint Patrick's Day theme, only this time you help build the stately St. Patrick's Cathedral. You will need 10 Swords and 10 Hours of time to complete, and will need to plant Red Gooseberries in order to begin. There is a task within the quest in which you are expected to purchase a premium building, the Walking Stick. Keep in mind you do NOT have to purchase this; you can instead skip this task by spending 2 Gold Bars. If you do choose to purchase it, try to get it while it is currently on sale for 50% off (normally 50 Gold Bars, on sale for 25 Gold Bars). This quest is available on Apple as well, and will be expiring at the end of the day on March 25th, EST.
Sw atlantis templecar ea last.png Hear It, Believe It, a Standard Quest from the Atlantis storyline where you help Ben and Violet construct the colorful Atlantis Temple Car, similar to the ones used to carry the Hindu gods during the annual festivals at this time of year. You will need 11 Swords and 22 Hours of time to complete, and will need to complete the quest Feeling the Weight before starting this one.

A new Limited Edition quest and a new Crop have been added to the wiki:

Le113 idesofmarch ea last.png Wish To Be True, a Limited Edition Quest which acknowledges Julius Caesar's Ides of March and wraps up the quest with an Irish blessing in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Here you help the charter crew of the island discover the Ides of March Chamber in the Jungle, and you only need 5 Swords and 5 Hours of time to complete! Kiwi also uses this quest to introduce another new crop, the Green Gooseberry! This quest and the new Green Gooseberry crop are available on Apple, too, with the quest expiring at the end of the day on March 18th, EST.

New quests, a new Crop, and some bug fixes to report!

Le112 leprachaun lair ea last.png They Are Usually After Them, a Limited Edition Quest in time for St. Patrick's Day where you can help piece together the Leprechaun Lair. You will need 10 Swords and 12 Hours of time to complete, and in order to start the quest you will need to plant and grow a new Crop added to Shipwrecked, the Red Gooseberry! And, when you complete this LE, you'll get a special 2-Gold Bar reward in honor of the Leprechaun's treasure. This quest and the new Red Gooseberry crop are available on Apple, too, with the quest expiring at the end of March.

I am really excited about this new crop, the Red Gooseberry! From what I understand, Kiwi has added it to the game to be used in the first task of the Limited Edition quests. It was explained to me that they were adding a special Crop that was only to be used in the first task of the LEs, and won't be used for any other quest. So, if you do NOT want to accidentally trigger the beginning of an LE quest, do not have any Red Gooseberry plants left around your island. Fingers crossed this is Kiwi's plan and they stick with it!

Sw platform ea last.png Volcanic Vigilance, a Standard Quest where you help Ben construct a Jungle Platform. You will need 10 Swords and 11 Hours of time to complete, and will need to complete the quest The Right State of Mind before starting this one.

In the recently added Standard Quest, Voices of the Island, there was a problem with the new buildings not producing their new Special Items. I am happy to report that Kiwi has corrected this glitch, and we may now formally introduce the Vaudeville Theatre and the Dessert Shop:

Sw vaudeville show building last.png produces Sw playbill collectable doober.png
Sw dessertshop building last.png produces Sw shortcake collectable doober.png

You will need 5 Playbills from the Vaudeville Theatre to help build the Dessert Shop.

Kiwi has added two new quests to the game, but one of the quests has a glitch in it. In the quest Voices of the Island, you are expected to build a Vaudeville Theatre which should generate Playbills, then you take the Playbills to build a Dessert Shop. Unfortunately, the Vaudeville Theatre will not produce any Playbills at all. The glitch has been reported to Kiwi Support, but I have not gotten a response from them yet as it is the weekend.

The other quest added, What Do You Got There?, is a Limited Edition Quest without needing Swords! It is a short quest in which you can purchase some Premium Décor, Queen Anne's Lace Flower. Thank you Kiwi for something different than the norm.

Also, the recent Limited Edition Quest, Complete It With Me, has been changed by Kiwi so that you start it by planting a Sweet Potato, and not a regular Potato. The difference? The Sweet Potato is available at Level 7, while the regular Potato isn't available until Level 24. It was generous of Kiwi to make this correction, now onwards to making this beautiful garden!

A new Limited Edition Quest has been added to the wiki:

Le110 spring garden ea last.png Complete It With Me, a Limited Edition Quest in which Violet has discovered a Secret Spring Garden and needs your help to bring it back to its former glory. You will need 17 Swords and 16 Hours of time to complete, and will need to plant and grow a Potato to begin the quest (you will need 48 Hours for it to grow before advancing the quest!). This quest is available until the end of March.

Apple users, there is a new update available: Version 1.1.1. I don't see any obvious changes so I believe it is only for some bug fixes.

A new quest has been added to the wiki:

Sw crystal atrium ea last.png Spirit of the Maybes, a Standard Quest in which Sebastian has been led into the jungle by the ghost of a 'lady warrior' to reconstruct the Crystal Atrium. This new crystal structure seems to be part of an existing storyline with two other crystal buildings: the Crystal Den and the Crystal Spire. You will need 12 Swords and 16 Hours of time to complete, and this quest is dependent on completion of All You Need Are Togas. This quest does not appear to be available on the Apple platform yet.

More Apple users are reporting that their missing buildings and other items have been returned in their games. If you are still missing items in your Apple game, please be sure to email Kiwi from within your game to get help.

Latest as of February 25th, 2014

Le109 mardigras ea last.png Mountains of Fun, a Limited Edition Quest where you help Ben and Violet celebrate Mardi Gras by helping build a Mardi Gras Float. You will need 10 Swords and 8 Hours of time to complete. You will need to own an Azalea from Décor to start this quest.

I'm from Louisiana and this Mardi Gras Float makes me homesick! I sure do miss going to those parades!

Sw island promenade ea last.png Come Walk With Me, Mrs. Abernathy (Violet's governess) is back! She believes the island residents need more exercise so she has asked for help putting together an Island Promenade. You will need 8 Swords and 15 Hours of time to complete. This quest is dependent on completion of The Reflection of Who?

For the Apple players with missing buildings... I've heard of one player getting his buildings back, but he had to email Kiwi to report the problem. If you haven't already contacted Kiwi about any of your missing buildings, be sure to do so!

Apple players, there is a glitch with the latest update; buildings and other items are disappearing from your island. Many players are reporting this in a thread at the Support Forum set up by Kiwi. First, check your Inventory Slots to make sure your items weren't automatically placed in there by the game. If they aren't in there, be sure to email Kiwi from within your game to report your missing items.

Kiwi Support and I have been in communication about improvements to the Facebook feature in Shipwrecked. Their developers are considering letting us have a choice of using our Facebook login or not so that it is not a requirement. Hopefully we will get an answer from them soon. I appreciate Kiwi Support being receptive to our ideas.

Seems there are some problems with the new Facebook feature that Kiwi is pushing into Shipwrecked. First of all, we HAVE to do it; currently there is no built in way to opt out of it. Secondly, at least in the Android version (I haven't gotten this far in Apple), it is glitchy and we cannot search for people to invite. Thirdly, in Apple, until you log into Facebook, a very annoying large banner will remain in your upper right-hand corner of the screen. And last, if you are someone like me and have multiple Shipwrecked games that you play, you will need a separate Facebook account for each Shipwrecked game.

I think this is a terrible "feature" in the game and ask Kiwi to give the players the opportunity to opt out of the Facebook login. Otherwise, Kiwi faces the hard reality of losing many of their paying and potential customers.

In better news, the Apple players have a new update: 1.1.0. New features for the Apple players include:

  • Inventory Slots! You can now store items like Buildings, Décor, etc in Inventory Slots. You can find this feature by accessing your Special Items screen and looking for the "Inventory" button.
  • Fixes to the expired Limited Edition quests. You can now tap LE quests with the Expired flag to either extend them with 4 Gold Bars, or close them by tapping the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the pop-up. When you tap the "X", a 48 Hour timer begins. The next time you open your game, those expired LE quests that you tapped the "X" will now drop to the bottom of your quest queue and will disappear after the 48 Hour timer is up.
  • I am guessing that Kiwi also fixed the problem that kept Apple players from selling their incomplete LE buildings. We'll have to wait 48 Hours for the LE quest to drop from the quest queue before we can test if that has been fixed.

I may have overlooked other new features in the Apple version so feel free to report them in our Forums.

I'm back from traveling and here with some updates:

Sw midnight cafe building last.png produces Sw edge collectable doober.png
Sw pharmacy building last.png produces Sw baltimore bite collectable doober.png
Opinions Matter - another short Standard Quest that doesn't require any Swords... I'm loving this trend! After helping Bern and Dorothy finish the Standard Quest, Washing Away Our Dust, you will begin this quest in which Bern invites Dorothy to discuss art at the new Midnight Cafe. This new cafe produces servings of Edge every 6 hrs, and you will need 5 Edges to build the Pharmacy. The Pharmacy produces Dorothy's favorite chocolate, the Baltimore Bite, every 5 hours. All of these new Special Items have an 80% Chance of being produced on regeneration so don't expect to collect on every regen.

Le108 blackheart idol ea last.png The Island Idol, a Limited Edition quest in which you help Tad build the Blackheart Idol. You will need 12 Swords and 12 Hours of time to complete this... thing. This quest starts by owning an Apple Tree, and will be available for two weeks.

It seems that Kiwi has completely gotten away from their helpful trend of providing players a way to opt-into the Limited Edition quests. Lately Kiwi has been starting these quests by having us own an Apple Tree or a Tiki Torch or something else common, and it pretty much means we all have to start these quests whether we want to or not. Kiwi, please change this first step of the LEs to something like 'moving' some building or décor item around the island, and not simply 'owning' a common item, or planting a common crop.

Sw alabaster temple ea last.png Master of Alabaster, a Standard Quest in which you help Ben build an Alabaster Temple. You will need 14 Swords and 23 Hours of time to complete. This quest is dependent on completion of The Center for All and Nothing and is the second building made from the strange white alabaster material that seems to be from another world. Maybe this is a new storyline?

I do not believe In the Pale Moonlight is available on Apple yet.

I've been working on a Core Quest Tree and slowly trying to put together a newbie guide. The idea of the Core Quests is that if you focus only on them, you can get all the necessary Helpers and Generators in the game with a minimal amount of Swords. So for a taste of things to come, here is the Core Quest Tree:

Welcome Tasks - Ben
┗━ Surprise Supplies ( Generator Lumberyard )

   ┗━ An Old Sailor's Story ( Generator Quarry )
     ┣━ The Illusion of Treasure
┃    ┗━ The Spanish Secret ( Generator Stone Cutter )
     ┗━ Milking the Situation ( Helper #4 Tad )
┣━ Dirty Apples ( Generator Clay Pit )
 ┃     ┗━ Achilles' Entrance
 ┃             ┗━ Iron Will ( Generator Iron Mine )
 ┗━ Make Way!
┣━ Mind Your Manners ( Generator Brick Kiln )
   ┗━ Everybody Wants Shoes
┗━ Monkey Business ( Helper #5 Bern the Monkey )
 ┗━ Millin' About
   ┗━ Gold At Last!
┗━ A Break for Tea
   ┗━ Starry-Eyed ( Generator Lumber Mill )
 ┗━ Loched Out
    ┗━ The Island of Tomorrow
┗━ Industry of Home ( Generator Steel Foundry )

Seems Kiwi slipped in a new Limited Edition quest while I wasn't looking...

Le102 newyear dedication ea last.png Solutions and Resolutions, a Limited Edition quest in which Ben and Violet want to commit their New Year's resolutions to the New Year Dedication structure. You will need 11 Swords and 9 Hours of time to complete. And in order to start this LE quest, you will need to own a Pine Thicket piece of Decor.

A new Atlantis quest has been added to the wiki:

Sw atlantis aggro crag ea last.png What It Takes, a Standard quest in which the Corporal takes the Ship of Ages to Atlantis to build the Aggro Cliff, which I am assuming is in reference to Global Guts and the Aggro Crag (the Corporal must have been a big fan). When you are ready to take on the Cliff, have 11 Swords and 21 Hours of time to complete. And in order to start it, you will need to have finished the quest, Confounding the Islanders.

Apple players, you may have noticed a whole bunch of new quests in your quest queue this past week. It appears Kiwi fixed whatever was keeping all those quests they added back on December 10th from showing up in our games. If you are seeing any quests that aren't displayed in the Apple Quest Tree, please let me know.

Happy New Year, everyone! The first new quest of 2014 has been added to the wiki:

Sw aqua relaxation ea last.png The Right State of Mind - a Standard quest in which Violet creates an Aqua Relaxation Spot in the jungle. You will need 8 Swords and 12 Hours of time to complete, along with three visits to the Weavery so have yours ready to go when you get to this quest. This quest follows completion of Trimalchio on Lost Island.

New updates to report for Shipwrecked, and yay for new Tradable Items! Haven't seen any new Tradable Items since May of 2013! They are introduced in the new quest, Washing Away Our Dust, along with some new buildings.

Sw paintmixer building last.png produces Sw paintbrush collectable doober.png
Sw paintstudio building last.png produces Sw painting collectable doober.png
Sw gallery building last.png produces Sw culture collectable doober.png
Washing Away Our Dust - a short Standard Quest that doesn't require any Swords... yay! However, it will take a long time to complete if you don't use any Spirit or Gold Bars so settle in for a long quest. The Paint Mixer produces Paint Brushes every 6 hrs, and you will need 10 Paint Brushes to build the Paint Studio. The Paint Studio produces Paintings every 10 hrs, and you will need 10 Paintings and 5 Paint Brushes to build the Gallery. The Gallery produces Culture every 24 hrs, and no idea what we need it for yet besides the Trading Port. All of these new Special Items have an 80% Chance of being produced on regeneration so don't expect to collect on every regen. This quest becomes available after completing Trimalchio on Lost Island.
Le101 dragon hoard ea last.png Hoarding A Mystery - a Limited Edition quest in which Squidbane and Tad build the Fafnir Hoard. You will need 11 Swords and 7 Hours of time to complete. In order to start this LE quest, you will need to own an Almond Tree; so if you already own one, you will automatically begin this quest.

My apologies for not updating the News page here over the Christmas holiday. I did manage to get the quests added to the wiki over the course of the week but I slacked off in reporting them here on the home page. For future reference, check the Recent Changes link on the left-hand menu in case additions were made to the wiki but were not reported here.

Quests added to the wiki:

Trimalchio on Lost Island - Standard Quest

A Legend of the Hidden Temple - Standard Quest

Sculpting for an Ice Princess‎ - Limited Edition

Confounding the Islanders - Standard Quest

Apple users: Kiwi has fixed the problem of limiting the number of free neighbors by changing it from 3 to 10. Thank you, Kiwi!

Two new quests have been added to the wiki:

Le099 nutcracker stage ea market.png Waltz if the Violets - a Limited Edition quest in which you help Violet build the Nutcracker Stage. You will need 15 Swords and 12 Hours of time to complete. Unfortunately, Kiwi went back to their old way of starting an LE Quest by asking you to plant a crop... this time it is one plot of Tea. So if you do not want to do this quest, be sure to avoid planting Tea for the next two weeks. The quest ends with a purchase of a Premium Item, Snow Cottage; you can simply ignore the purchase and wait for the quest to expire if you want to save your Gold Bars. This quest is available on Apple.
Sw story circle ea last.png Story Time! - a Standard Quest that is available after finishing So Are Our Days, in which Sebastian and Violet build a picturesque Story Circle. You will need 11 Swords and 17 Hours of time to complete. I do not currently see this available on Apple yet.

Apple Players: you may have noticed a new version available: 1.0.9. It fixed a couple of bugs from 1.0.8 but contains no new features. There are still some other open complaints about the latest major changes to the Apple version:

  • Some players are complaining of constant crashing of the game.
  • Some players cannot invite more than three free neighbors without having to spend 10 Gold Bars to have the minimum five neighbors to satisfy the Being Social! quest.
  • Some players are not seeing the new quests that were added to the game last week.

If you have any of these problems, be sure to contact Kiwi Support for the Apple platform at support-swios@kiwiup.com.

Apple players, just letting you know I've updated the wiki to reflect all the additional quests available to you. You can see them listed here on the Standard Quests page, and also in the Apple Quest Tree. It appears the Apple players went from 54 to 88 Standard Quests.

Other news I've received about the Apple version of Shipwrecked is that they do not plan to include Trading (as in the Trading Port) nor the Ship of Ages. However, other locations are in the works (not sure if this means Atlantis or not) so some other means of travel will be offered soon.

And to repeat what I said yesterday, the Apple players will not have the Air Ship, and will instead simply 'explore the jungle'. So when reading the walkthroughs here on the wiki, the Android players will still use the Air Ship when the walkthrough tells them to, and the Apple players will explore the jungle. When in doubt, refer to the quest text on your own device as to where to explore :)

Two new quests added to the wiki:

Le098 winter lightshow ea last.png High Winter Fun - a Limited Edition quest for the Holidays in which a few of the castaways team together to make an ice castle into a Winter Light Show. You will need 11 Swords and 9 Hours of time to complete. The quest ends with a purchase of a Premium Item, Milk and Biscuits; you can simply ignore the purchase and wait for the quest to expire if you want to save your Gold Bars. This quest is available on Apple.
Sw training ground ea last.png Bernie Ain't Got Nothin' On Me - a Standard Quest that is available after finishing My Own Private Burrow, and brings back Corporal Kingmaker as he makes this cool scaling wall, also called the Training Ground. You will need 14 Swords and 24 Hours of time to complete. As of now I am not seeing this on Apple yet.

Big news is that version 1.0.8 for the Apple OS was released, and with it the new neighbor system! So download the latest version, set up your KiwiID, and start visiting other people's islands!

In addition to the new Social feature, Kiwi included a whole array of quests! These quests are already available here on the wiki, but there may be a slight difference in them: the Apple version will NOT have the Air Ship... lucky dogs! That is right, Kiwi confirmed they will not provide the Air Ship in the Apple OS, but users will simply explore the jungle instead of risking their Swords on the glitchy Air Ship. So Apple users... you dodged a bullet there! Patience has its benefits!

By my count, I estimate about 34 quests added to the Apple OS. It will take me some time to update the wiki so that it shows on the Apple Quest Tree, and to add notes about the Air Ship to each relevant walkthrough. But for now, here is the list of added quests I've compiled:

Being Social!, 'Bout Time for Botany, A Sultan on the Beach, All Along the Island Front, All For The Dame, Ask and Ye' Shall Receive, Blackheart's Lair, But You Can't Predict the Weather, Commanding Attention, Glasgow Budo, Jesse is a Good Friend of Coral's, Klatchmaker Matchmaker, My Best Friend's Habitat, My Own Private Burrow, Not Either/Or, Oar We Can Go Together, Obsessed With the Image, Protect Ye' Neck, Tad and Ben Build A White Castle, Thanks for the Tank!, The Essence of a Garden, The Great, Green Wonder, The Houses of Heeling, The Island Consulate, The Object for Reflection, The Round Table, The Royal Island Club, The Sword of Destiny, This Side of Charleston, Too Much Time On His Hands, Try Not To Flip Out, Wait `Til You See My Pick, We All Be Just Players, Which Way is the Party?

Sw chess set ea last.png Searching for a Hobby - a Standard Quest that appears after finishing The Great, Green Wonder in which you help Tad and Ben put together a Lawn Chess Set. You will need 14 Swords and 41 Hours of time to complete. Since this quest uses the Air Ship, it is not available for the Apple players.

The Thanksgiving break is over and Kiwi is back to work making more quests!

Sw crystal spire ea last.png All You Need Are Togas is a Standard Quest following The Houses of Heeling, as we create another healing house, the Crystal Spire. You will need 10 Swords and 26 Hours of time to complete. On completion of the quest you get a bonus Sword, always a nice surprise. Unfortunately, this quest not available for the Apple players.

Le097 ice creator ea market.png Inform Her of Snow is a Limited Edition Quest where you make a Snow Machine for the island. All you need are 6 Swords and 5 Hours of time to complete. In order to start the quest, you will need to move your Decadent Palace, if you have one.

Seems I misspelled The Houses of Heeling when I added it to the wiki last week. Hopefully I've corrected all references.

Video Ads Player update: The player actually worked for me for two days! Yay! But then it hasn't worked for me since so I'm not sure what to expect with it. For those of us living outside of the U.S. (like me), the Video Player likely won't work very much for us. At least you will know if it is ready to work because when you open your SW game, your screen will automatically center to the Video Player platform, and little sparkles will appear around it.

So what do you think about Kiwi changing their in-game promos from rewarding Swords to rewarding Gold Bars? I personally think they should bring back the Sword rewards. Let us know your opinion in our forum: http://shipwreckedwiki.com/forums/showthread.php?281

One new quest for Shipwrecked:

Sw hideout ea last.png My Own Private Burrow - we get to see Esmeralda after a long absence as she seeks out her own Hideout in this Standard Quest. This quest becomes available after Commanding Attention, and needs 11 Swords and 15 Hours of time to complete. One nice surprise is a bonus Sword at the end of the quest! Unfortunately, this is not available for the Apple players.

I've gotten some news from Kiwi about the Video player:

"Hope everyone is liking the Video player. We've resolved the issues with it and it's staying on for good now. Users should be able to watch 10 videos per day, but a lot of the videos unfortunately aren't available outside the US so non-US players might not see as many as US players."

So unfortunately for folks outside of the US (like me) the Video player may not work for you, or possibly, may not give you as much of a variety of videos to watch. In my case, it simply doesn't work. If you live outside of the US and are able to watch videos, tell us how you did it in the forums. I'd love to know!

I'll be on the road next week and there may be some delays in updates on the quests.

Latest as of November 20th, 2013

Two new quests are new to Shipwrecked:

Sw command post ea last.png Commanding Attention - a new Standard Quest bringing back Corporal Kingmaker as he decides the Island needs a Command Post. This quest becomes available after Abominable Adventure, and needs 14 Swords and 56 Hours of time to complete.

Le095 vampire display ea last.png Shadow For A Pirate - a new Limited Edition Quest in which Squidbane confesses he's been dreaming a lot lately about something 'wicked' he saw years ago. So using art therapy, Squid draws out the animated shadow of his nightmare on the Shadow Display you see here sans shadow. The final result is the animated shadow on the wall. In order to start this quest, you'll need to own a Bamboo House and then 'move' it, and in order to complete you'll need 8 Swords and 8 Hours of time.

I really like how the beginning of this LE Quest is different from how Kiwi normally starts their Shipwrecked LEs. Lately we've been asked to plant something common like Corn or Squash, but many of us plant that a lot for other quests and for the Kitchen. So I am glad to see something different at the beginning of this LE quest... having us do something like move a building. Thank you Kiwi!

I've heard from a player saying their Video Ads generator worked for them today. Mine is still not working, even after Clearing Data and uninstalling and reinstalling. But might be worth a tap to see if yours might be online again.

Two new quests have been added to the wiki:

Sw electric eel ea last.png All Along the Island Front - I get really disappointed when Kiwi ends a Standard Quest with the purchase of a Premium Item because one way or another we have to spend Gold Bars. I'm assuming this was a mistake by Kiwi and is not part of a new trend.

This quest brings back Coral Seastar, the Mermaid, as she asks for our help putting together the Electric Eel Shallows for her friend, Idris the Eel. You will need 10 Swords and 18 Hours of time to complete this quest, and before you can even begin it, you will need to have finished the quest, Try Not To Flip Out. Sebastian shows up at the end of the quest and tells us to buy a Sushi Cart for 40 Gold Bars, which is not a usual investment for a Standard Quest. You can skip the task for 2 Gold Bars, but unfortunately you will not complete the quest without spending some Gold. And at the moment, this quest is not available to the Apple players because earlier quests in this series use the Air Ship.

Sw atlantis waterfall ea last.png Over the Rainbow Falls - is another Standard Quest of the Atlantis series following the previous quest, The Gate. You work with Violet to construct the Atlantis Waterfall, a water and rock formation with an array of colors. This requires 11 Swords and at least 21 Hours of time, but a tricky part is you will need 3 Cherry Blossom Trees; the first time you plant one, each one requires 24 Hours of planting time and 8 Hours of watering time. I do not know if the game gives you credit for already owning three Cherry Blossom Trees since I did not own any before starting this quest. Let us know if you can own these beforehand! And since this is part of the Atlantis storyline, it is currently unavailable to the Apple players.

If you have tried Kiwi's new game, Westbound, and are looking for a Wiki and walkthroughs, check out Westbound Wiki. Michelle 'Raeyin' Gordon-Krohling (a name you should recognize from Kiwi's Support forums), and GordonC (Wiki Admin for the Brightwood Wiki), and I along with IvyGate and CoolBurnMtW are working together to build a Westbound Wiki. Hope to see you there!

A new Limited Edition Quest has been released for both Android and Apple and added to the Wiki:

Le094 paradefloat ea last.png Don't Worry If It Lands - A year ago this month, Shipwrecked released its first Limited Edition Quest and its theme was Thanksgiving. Well, that time is here again and another Thanksgiving Limited Edition quest has been released. This time, Violet and Tad put together a Thanksgiving Day Parade Float - Island Style. Well, more Turkey than Island but I'll give Kiwi credit for the Castaway touches (such as the Pufferfish Pump... clever). You will need 14 Swords and 16 Hours of time to complete this, and you have almost three weeks before it expires. If you do not want to do this quest, be sure not to plant any Squash for that length of time or you risk wasting Swords in the jungle.

A Limited Edition Quest originally released in March of 2013 has been rereleased for Apple players:

Le026 rainbowmaker.png Rainbow Connection - Help Violet put together the Rainbow Maker using 11 Swords and 16 Hours of time. The actual finished item has some animation to it. 36 Hours are left to complete this quest.

Whoa! Another quest for the wiki, and so soon after the typical quests releases on Friday:

Sw emerald castle ea last.png The Great, Green Wonder - There is a Medieval storyline developing in the Standard Quests of Shipwrecked, and The Great, Green Wonder is its latest addition. Starting with the quest, The Sword of Destiny, this puzzling question was put to us players: “Was it Tad's destiny to be on this Island in the first place?” along with hints that Tad has a secret and it would soon be revealed. I guess we'll learn in time, which gives some reassurance that Kiwi has a few more quests in the works.

You will need to finish Tad and Ben Build A White Castle in order to start this quest, and you will need 14 Swords and at least 31 Hours of time to complete (that Reservoir may slow you down). And since the storyline depends on the Air Ship, this quest is currently unavailable to Apple players.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay but I am back from traveling and despite a bit of a cold, I am here with quest updates.

Le093 daydead altar ea last.png Cruzada de Muertos is a Limited Edition Quest available to Apple and Android users where you help rebuild a Day of the Dead Altar for the Mexican festival of Dia de Muertos. You will need 17 Swords and 15 Hours of time to help put this together. If you do not want to start this quest, avoid planting Corn for the next three weeks (yikes!).

Sw atlantis gateway ea last.png The Gate is a Standard Quest in which you go back to Atlantis with Sebastian and piece together the Atlantis Gateway. You will need 11 Swords and 23 Hours of time to complete the quest. The Gate depends on completion of A Great Deed, and unfortunately is not available to Apple players due to it requiring the Ship of Ages.

Sw meditation spot ea last.png The Object for Reflection is a Standard Quest where Violet seeks out a peaceful place to do yoga on the island. 11 Swords and 20 Hours of time are needed to complete the Meditation Spot. This quest depends on completion of The Essence of a Garden, and due to its use of the Air Ship is unavailable to Apple players at this time.

Edited to add this quest for the Apple players:

Le030 aquarium market.png Sea to Shore is a Limited Edition Quest rereleased for the Apple players and available for the next couple of days. Violet puts together this animated aquarium of four different salt-water fish and you'll need 12 Swords and 10 Hours of time to help her. This was originally released for Android in March of 2013 but is no longer available for the Android players.

Players have often asked about having a newbie guide for Shipwrecked, and I think that is a great idea. So I thought I'd start with a page that shows the core quests in Shipwrecked, and the order in which they are played: Shipwrecked Core Quests. By completing these 20 quests, you get all the main Generators (Quarry, Stone Cutter, Brick Kiln...) and all five free Castaways, and can be completed with a reasonable amount of swords. Once you knock out those quests then you are free to choose which other story lines to follow if you decide to continue with the game. This page is a work-in-progress so let me know if you have any suggestions.

Kiwi is keeping me busy lately! A new quest has been added to the wiki:

Sw aquagarden ea last.png The Essence of a Garden involves helping Violet put together a water feature to compliment the Botanical Garden uncovered in the previous quest, 'Bout Time for Botany. You will need 11 Swords and 18 Hours of time to help complete the quest, 9 of those Swords are used in the Air Ship. In order to get this pool-like structure, you will need to complete the quest But You Can't Predict the Weather. The good news is that the last task of the quest needs Water Lilies for decoration, which most of us already own from early quests in the game. Due to the Air Ship, this quest is not available for the Apple users yet.

It appears the Video Ads generator is back offline. A lot of people reported success getting Ticket Stubs and cashing them in for goods, but for others (me), it never worked. So I'll go out on a limb and say that it stopped working shortly after it started. At least Kiwi is trying to get it fixed!

Another new feature, the SpinWheel, recently showed up in the Android games and is similar to the Golden Seeds and Scratch-off Tickets. It is yet another way to receive a random reward by spending a valuable resource, which in this case is 5 Swords. Now this is just my opinion, but 5 Swords seems an awfully lot to spend with a minimal chance for two possible Sword rewards. I hope Kiwi will give us the option to remove this structure from our islands.

While waiting to earn more Swords in Shipwrecked, you can look into Kiwi's latest reskin of their Brightwood Adventure's engine: Westbound. If you like Shipwrecked, you may enjoy Westbound as it switches to the Wild West theme and offers up all new quests and dialog.

Usually quests are released on Tuesdays and Fridays, and this coming Tuesday I will be on vacation. Expect updates to the wiki to occur later than usual, up to 24 hours later. In the meantime you may find other users might have posted walkthroughs in our forum.

Happy Halloween! Kiwi has release a quick, sword-free Limited Edition quest called Tricking Tad, in which Tad Trick-or-Treat's around the island. The quest finishes with the Premium purchase of a new Jack-O-Lantern decoration. This quest is available for both Apple and Android.

I'm hearing lots of reports that the Video Ads generator is back online! I don't know all the details yet but seems you can watch 10 videos at a time, then wait 30 Min - 1 Hr before being able to watch any more. At the moment, the Video Ads generator does not work for me so I haven't been able to test it. But if you've held off on tapping it lately, time to try it again!

With my ISP back up, here are the details on the two new quests:

Sw atlantis stupa ea last.png A Great Deed, gives Sebastian the helm of the Ship of Ages as he travels to Atlantis and learns of a connection between the Atlanteans and his favorite region, the Far East. You will need 14 Swords, 18 Hours of Castaway time, and completion of the previous quest, Perception is Not A Felony, in order to take on the building of the Atlantis Stupa. This is a colorful addition to your Atlantis collection and has decent stats too. And unfortunately, being part of the Atlantis series, this quest is not available for the Apple users yet.

Le091 tp house ea last.png = Sw le091 paper roll collectable doober.png + Le091 tp house ea 7.png
Tad's TP Plan, an LE Quest released for both Android and Apple in which Violet uncovers a new house in the jungle (just how many houses does she have???) and Tad plans a Halloween prank for it. Help Tad finish the job by using 5 Swords and 3 Hours of time and have this... uh... interesting addition to your island. To start this quest, you will need to plant one Tea. Thank you again, Kiwi, for another low sword-count quest!

I'm aware that TP'ing people's homes in the U.S. at Halloween is pretty common. How common is it in other parts of the world, whether at Halloween or other times of year? We'd love to know!

And a big thank you to Kiwi for providing more opportunities to earn Swords. I've noticed more in-game offers to try new Kiwi games, helping me build up my Sword inventory. Keep up the great work!

Equipped with 14 Swords and 30 Hours of Castaway time, you will help piece together another building for your Atlantis collection. Expect average stats and graphics from your new acquisition.

Be on the lookout for more Helper sales using Swords. Tread carefully whenever you open your Shipwrecked game for the next two days.

New quests have been added to the Wiki:

Le090 bratwurst festival ea last.png All In His Grill, an LE Quest released for both Android and Apple in which you help put together a BBQ Pit. All you need are 5 Swords and 5 Hours of time to have this nice addition to your garden. To start this quest, you will need to plant and harvest a Sweet Potato. Thank you Kiwi for a low sword-count quest!

Sw atlantis elephant ea last.png Blackheart's Bash is a Standard Quest from the Atlantis series where Blackheart and Tad team up to uncover the Elephant Edifice. As the name and series imply, it is an elephant and it is the same shade of blue as all the other Atlantis buildings, but with some colorful accents. And because it is an Atlantis quest, it isn't available for the Apple users yet. But even without access in your game to the quest, you can still read up on the storyline of these characters here on the wiki, which took a bit of a turn in this quest. Seems Blackheart is a clever guy; the question, now, is Tad?

Version 1.0.7 of Shipwrecked for Apple is now available in the iTunes store. At the moment I cannot pick up on any changes or new features with this update. Please let me know if you spot anything.

Version 2.2.4 of Shipwrecked for Android is now available in Google Play. Many of us hoped it would fix the problem with the new Video Ads generator, but I haven't heard of it working for anyone yet. I have uninstalled/reinstalled and cleared data and it still doesn't work for me. Let us know if it works for you.

The update seemed to fix the problem with the Frankenstein citizen from A Steady Purpose. It also seemed to fix the blinking "New Quest" arrows every time we exited and returned to our games. Nice!

I'll be sure to report any other changes or fixes as I learn of them.

Latest as of October 20th, 2013

I have finished updating all of the walkthroughs for the Standard Quests so they now include:

  • Complete Sword counts, including Air Ship tasks
  • Totals for Swords and Gold Bars earned in a quest
  • Accurate time totals for uncovering items in the jungle
  • Approx date the quest was released
  • Complete Dialog between the Characters
  • Updated dependencies between quests
  • Active Quest designations for Android and Apple devices

With all this new data I was able to add some new features to the Wiki. On the Standard Quests page you'll now find a table that provides totals for Active Quests and for all the Swords needed to complete all the Standard Quests in the game. Interested? It currently takes 723 Swords to complete all the Standard Quests for Android, and 286 for Apple! Wow!!!

Another feature added is a new Quest Tree which graphically shows the relationship between all of the Standard Quests in the game. Since Android and Apple have different quests available to their devices, I have created two separate trees, and their links can be found in the menu under Quests -> - Standard Quests as:

-- Android Quest Tree
-- Apple Quest Tree

I'm not in any hurry to apply all of these updates to the expired Limited Edition Quests. New LE Quests are automatically added in the new format, and I will update any expired LEs that might be re-released for the Apple players, but the rest of the LEs will have to wait. And as for the LEs in the Quest Trees, it isn't all that necessary to show them as most LEs are dependent on Surprise Supplies, making for a tall skinny Tree.

Two new Atlantis quests have been released:

Where Are Our Seats? and following it is Sitting It All Together. In both of these quests you uncover stadium seats for your existing Atlantis Arena. You will need a total of 16 Swords and 16 Hours of Castaway time to uncover the seats. There is a task in both quests that expects you to move each piece of stadium seats 3x. Do not worry about how it should look; just move each piece 3x to move on to the next task. You can always sort out proper placement later, if there is such a thing (I honestly don't know... let me know if you do!). In order to start these quests you will need to have finished "The Fish in the Net". Unfortunately, since these are Atlantis quests, they are unavailable for Apple players at this time.

I've been busy updating more of the Standard Quests, and have even started marking which quests are available for Android and those for Apple. Although there are quite a few unavailable for Apple players, there are a handful that are unavailable for Android players... interesting! The list also includes Swords Required, Swords Earned, and Gold Earned, so be sure to check out the updated list of Standard Quests and see these changes for yourself.

Still no sign of citizen Frankenstein in my game. Any sight of him yet in yours?

The Video Ads feature seems to still be offline for the Android users (unavailable for Apple), and likely to remain so until at least the next game update.

I've also added a new section to the menu for News Archive in order to make our Main Page load faster. Only the past three months of News will be available on this home page, and the rest will be saved to its own Year-Month page. If looking for a particular topic you recall reading on this home page but cannot find it, I suggest using the search feature in the upper right-hand corner of the Wiki.

Le089 santa maria ea last.png Sail the Ocean Blue is a new Limited Edition Quest in which Violet explores history as she helps reconstruct the Santa Maria in honor of Columbus Day. You will need 11 Swords and 11 Hours of time to complete. In order to start this quest you will need to have an Almond Tree, and the last task asks you to purchase the Premium Décor item Florentine Villa. You can either skip the last task with 2 Gold Bars, or simply wait until the quest expires in six days.

Kiwi Representative, Sean, posted on the Kiwi Support forum that the Video Ads feature "will be returning shortly. We experienced some bugs and took it offline to resolve those issues. Look for it to return in our next update. Apologies for the inconvenience!" So we can take a break from tapping on it and get back to decorating and completing quests.

So the Video Ads generator has been available for two days and it still isn't working for me. Is it working for you? If so, we'd like to hear about it in the Forum. Let us know what country you are in and what kind of device you have. Hopefully Kiwi will get this sorted soon, but it would be nice to know if we could fix it on our own.

Sw atlantis court ea last.png The Fish in the Net is a new Standard Quest in which Bern finally gets to travel to Atlantis and help construct the Court of Justice. You will need 11 Swords and 45 Hours (!) of time to complete this addition to your Atlantis collection. You will need to have completed the Move Rocks and Chairs quest in order to start this one.

A new addition has been placed on our islands, the Video Ads generator. I was able to watch the same four-second video 4x's before it wouldn't let me watch it anymore. I earned 4 Movie Stubs which can be traded in for any of the four resources: 2 Movie Stubs = 120 Silver, 2 Movie Stubs = 100 Spirit, 6 Movie Stubs = 1 Gold Bar, 10 Movie Stubs = 1 Sword. At the moment there is no special page in the Wiki for this new generator or the Movie Stubs, but I'll be sure to add one as I know more. In the meantime, join us for discussion in the Forum.

Looks like Frankenstein still hasn't shown up for those of us who completed Frankenstein's Lab. Hang tight, I have faith that Kiwi will get this sorted out soon.

The Helper sale is over and hopefully all the pop-ups that drag down the loading of the game are gone too for the time being. Golden Seeds seem to be the only promotion at the time.

If you were looking for the Premium décor "Autumn Leaves" and "Deciduous Tree" but you already finished their LE Quests, you can buy them again for a short time. Seems they are set to expire at the end of the day today. Yet one more thing I do not understand about Kiwi and logic like this... to limit access to Premium items.

Apple users: Something Spooky's Lurking is a Halloween Limited Edition Quest made available for you. If you don't want to do the quest, be sure to remove any Apple Trees from your island so you don't advance the quest.

I've been overhauling the early quests of the game (for both Android and Apple) and made some changes. There is no longer a Welcome Tasks - Violet series of tasks; it has been replaced by Kiwi's new version: Island Sweet Island. In the Being Social! quest, you visit Violet's island instead of Mrs. Abernathy's. There are some other changes, but too boring to detail here.

Some other changes of more importance are that I am now tallying all Swords spent on a quest, as well as all Swords earned as task rewards. These numbers will be displayed within each walkthrough, as well as in the tables for the Standard Quests and the Limited Edition Quests. The final tally of all Swords needed in the game will be available soon.

Le088 frankenstein lab ea last.png A Steady Purpose is a new Limited Edition Quest in which Squidbane uncovers Frankenstein's Lab, a spooky addition for Halloween.. You will need 17 Swords and 11 Hours of time to complete this building. If you do not want to take on this quest, be sure to avoid planting any Squash or having any left over in the ground until the end of October. With the new building you should get a new animated character... Frankenstein! But apparently he is shy because even though I've finished the quest, he is not visible on my island yet.

Just a word of warning for Android users: Kiwi has offered another Sale so you can buy Helpers with Swords. So whenever you open your game, tap carefully so you don't accidentally purchase an unwanted helper with those Swords you just purchased. It you accidentally purchase a helper, be sure to email Kiwi and insist on a refund, and keep emailing them until they do.

For our Apple users: I've just been told by a player in our Forum that a Limited Edition quest is available on the Apple devices. Tree of Dreams is available on the Wiki but originally written for the Android so there might be some differences.

Sw picnic spot ea last.png But You Can't Predict the Weather is a new Standard Quest, in which Ben tries to invite Violet to a romantic Picnic Spot. Besides needing 8 Swords and 21 Hours of time, you will also need to be able to plant Grapes, and own the Grapery, the Cork Maker, and the Queen Anne Apartment. The Blue Apartment and the Red Apartment will not work for this quest; it will need to be the light-colored Apartment. In order to start this quest, you will need to first complete, Obsessed With the Image.

Picnic Spot's stats are at or below average compared to other Standard Quest Buildings, but it is a quaint addition to a park or garden setting. And something else I like is that the quest is similar to many of the early style of quests offered in Shipwrecked in that you plant crops and visit various buildings... adding to the variety of the tasks. And the lower number of swords is nice, too. Thanks Kiwi!

Other news is that an upgrade for Shipwrecked is available for Android, taking the game from version 2.2.2 to 2.2.3. I'm not aware of any obvious changes for this upgrade.

I am slowly becoming more aware of the differences between the Android version of Shipwrecked and the Apple version. This Wiki was written with the Android version in mind so at the moment there is no designation in the walkthroughs as to what quests are available for Apple. But a quick list of limitations for the Apple version is as follows:

  • No Limited Edition Quests
  • No Neighbor System
  • No Trading Port, so therefore no Smuggler's Cove quests or any involving any trading.
  • No Ship of Ages so no Atlantis quests
  • No Air Ship so no quests requiring the Hot Air Balloon

If you have any questions about the Apple version, feel free to ask them in our Forum. I can't promise I'll get you the right answer, but I can try. Just be sure to let us know if you are on Apple or Android.

Le087 house horror ea last.png Something Spooky's Lurking is a new Limited Edition quest, and it is all about Halloween! Violet uncovers a House of Horror in the jungle using 17 Swords and 23 Hours of time. The quest starts off by owning an Apple Tree, so if you do not want to do this quest yet you own one already, put your Apple Tree in an Inventory Slot or sell it before opening up this quest. The House of Horror has a 2 Hour regeneration time, and its XP and Silver stats are above average.

A significant amount of Premium items went missing from the Shipwrecked Shop back when the game upgraded from 2.1.8 to 2.1.9 in August. Many emails were sent to Kiwi Support (I emailed them too) pointing out that these items were missing and naturally we expected this to be corrected by the "developers". Well, today we finally learned what is going on. Kiwi has decided that many of these Premium items now have an "Expiration". Some of these items will Expire along with their related Limited Edition Quest. Other items will only be available during special sales.

If you don't purchase Premium items then this will not affect you too much. But there is a principle here that needs to be addressed. Kiwi has changed the rules on how players can spend their resources, and did so without informing them. That is not right. The expectation had long been established that players could purchase these items from the Shipwrecked Shop at will, and occasionally enjoy a discount during random Sales. Kiwi has disregarded this expectation, and has decided to offer these items at their discretion, if at all. All the while, players send Kiwi their real life money, often with the specific intent to purchase Gold Bars for Premium items like the ones that we now learn are Expired.

I fully support companies needing to tweak gameplay... it is their game after all. But, to keep their customers, they need to keep their customers informed.

Still no word on the Floating Throne not moving, as well as many other open issues.

I am slowly making progress with the new quest format. Each quest is getting overhauled and checked over for accuracy.

This is for Apple users only... I upgraded my iPhone to iOS7 tonight, and successfully carried my Shipwrecked game (and others) through the craziness. I won't promise that the steps I followed will guarantee that your game will be waiting for you after your upgrade so please do your research before upgrading. But I think some steps are important and worth mentioning:

Before upgrading to iOS7...

  • Make sure you know your Game Center login. Work all that out before doing any upgrades.
  • Upgrade your Shipwrecked Game to the latest version on your iOS device. At the time of the update, I upgraded to Shipwrecked version 1.0.6.
  • After the latest version of Shipwrecked is installed, open up the game. You should see a pop-up asking you to log your Shipwrecked game into Game Center:

Game center msg.jpg

  • Click the 'Continue' button shown on the pop-up. Your Shipwrecked game should now be linked to your Game Center account. Repeat this for any other games that may have similar setups, like DragonVale, etc.,
  • When ready, begin your iOS7 update. For me it took about 40 minutes. When it was done, my Shipwrecked game and other games resumed from when I left them before the update.

I am making a lot of assumptions here, so please do your research, but that is what worked for me.

If you have any problems and your game restarts from the beginning, email Kiwi from within your game: How to Email Kiwi Support From Within the Game

UPDATE: ISP is back up, and Move Rocks and Chairs has been added to the wiki. I can confirm that currently the Floating Throne does not move once you start building it. Hopefully Kiwi can fix that up pretty quickly. Unless... hmmm... they are being clever and this has deep ties to the storyline of the quest... something about a goddess named Astarte or Ashtarte (depending on Blackheart's mood). Maybe she had a floating throne that could not move? Oh the irony! Personally, I couldn't find a connection there so hopefully we'll be enlightened as the quest series progresses. When you are ready to take on this quest, be prepared with 11 Swords and 29 Hours of time to complete it.

It appears Kiwi has been tweaking The Royal Island Club quest again. If you are having any problems my best suggestion is to contact Kiwi Support. Fingers crossed this will be fixed once and for all.

My home ISP connection has been down for almost 24 hours so I haven't been able to update the wiki with the latest Atlantis quest, "Move Rocks and Chairs". But one of our forum regulars, IslandBrat, has completed the quest and is reporting that she cannot move the completed 'throne', which is a problem for her and likely others. If you have any suggestions for this, please let us know in the Forum.

And before my ISP went down, I finished work on How to Get the Iron Mine. Also, How to Get the Lumber Mill has been updated to include images of all the stages of the Lumber Mill.

Currently in the works is a quest tree showing all of the Standard Quests and their relationships to each other. Once I get a basic version of it running, I'll share a link in the Forum to get feedback, so keep an eye out there for updates. Fingers crossed my ISP is up and running soon so I can do this!

Latest as of September 17th, 2013

Hi everyone, some additions to the wiki to report. Overdue or not, here they are:

The Arena Addition, an Atlantis quest using 13 Swords and a minimum of 64 Hours (I repeat, 64 Hours!) of time to construct the Atlantis Arena East. You'll need the Farm House for the first task, and if you don't already have that one, it will take 12 Hours to construct it. So prepare to settle in for a long quest. This quest continues the building of the Atlantis Arena complex, and is dependent on completing Not Coming To Carry Us Home.

All For The Dame - Dorothy is back with a Standard Quest in which you build the Gondola Lift. You will need 14 Swords and a minimum of 39 Hours of time to complete this quest. And in order to start this quest, you will need to have finished This Side of Charleston.

Don't Let the Sun Surprise You, a Limited Edition Quest in which you need 14 Swords and a minimum of 12 Hours to help restore the Mexican Museum. This quest starts off a little differently than other recent LE Quests. For this one you will need the Bamboo House, and by tapping it, you will be advanced to the next Sword task. If you already own the Bamboo House but do not want to do this quest, I recommend hiding your Bamboo House in some far corner of your island, or sticking it in an Inventory Slot for the next 15 Days so you don't accidentally advance this quest.

I have also added a new How-To for the Steel Foundry: How to Get the Steel Foundry. It has an improved format and I will follow with similar How-To's for the rest of the Generators.

I am slowly updating the rest of the quests with the new structure. If you find errors with the new quest format, please let me know.

Two new quests and three new buildings have been added to the wiki. I have just about finished designing the new layout for the quest walkthroughs, and I am test driving it with these latest quests. A few more tweaks and I will apply this new format to the rest of the quests. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!

A Reality In Our Reach, a Limited Edition Quest in which you build the Tudor Palace. 14 Swords and about 8 Hours of time are used to complete this quest. A Premium House, the Diamond Chateau, is expected at the end of the quest but you may skip this purchase for 2 Gold Bars. This quest kicks off by owning 1 Banana Tree, so... no real option to keep from starting this quest. One small highlight in completing the Tudor Palace is that you get a one-time reward of 2 Gold Bars... not bad!

Not Coming To Carry Us Home, an Atlantis Quest in which you build the Atlantis Arena West. 13 Swords and about 40 Hours of time are used to complete this quest. You need to complete the quest, The Atlantis Arrr-Chive, in order to begin this latest quest. A single Sword is offered as a reward during the quest.

Existing Issues:

Seems the oversized graphics for many players are still a problem. Fingers crossed Kiwi will fix this in their next update.

It also appears Shipwrecked will not track how many neighbor slots you have paid for in Gold Bars. If you drop a neighbor after spending Gold Bars to add one, you are still expected to spend more Gold Bars if you intend to add any more neighbor slots.

Version 2.2.2 for Android came out and everything is BIG. It is annoying, especially if you are playing on a small screen like a phone, but I don't know of an easy fix at this time. Best thing I can suggest is to email Kiwi Support from within your game and report it: How to Email Kiwi Support From Within the Game

A new Standard Quest was added: Obsessed With the Image introduces a new tree, the Date Tree. You will need three of these trees, and they have a 20 Hr 'First Plant Time' then a 10 Hr 'First Water Time', so settle in for a long wait for the second task of this quest. Once watered, you will use a total of 4 Swords to find 4 Mosaic pieces (1 Sword for each). After spending time to 'clear away the brush', you will piece them together to make an image, much like the Hummingbird Puzzle in Establishing Practice. I haven't completed the stats on the Date Tree and the Mosaic pieces yet.

It has been a while since my last news update, but I've been plenty busy in the background. All of the quest walkthroughs are undergoing a major overhaul, with more useful information such as summaries for each quest (total # of Swords used, total # of Swords awarded), expiry dates for LE Quests, and accurate time durations. Also some not-so-useful but might be fun info like the castaway dialog that is included in each quest. Soon you'll be able to go back and read all of it in case you missed any of the soap-opera drama or jokes within the game. Fingers crossed all the quests will be spruced up in a week's time.

Two new quests were added to the wiki:

Le082 miracle garden ea last.png Not Your Average Space, an LE Quest in which you build the Miracle Garden shown to the left. You will need 16 Swords and approximately 35 Hours to help construct this explosion of color with below-average stats. You start this quest by planting Cranberries, so if you don't want this quest, avoid Cranberries for the next month.

Sw yin ea last.png and Sw yang ea last.png are two parts discovered in the Jungle when completing the Standard Quest Wait `Til You See My Pick (who makes up these names?) It is a very short quest requiring only 6 Swords (oops, I originally said 3), and you get two of the highest Silver and XP per hour buildings in the whole game. You can start this quest once you have finished Too Much Time On His Hands. The two parts look much better when the quest is completed and you place them side-by-side.
